Vicharanashala is a lab at IIT Ropar working at the intersection of pedagogy, technology, and higher education policy. Our programs are government-funded and nationally deployed. Our products emerge from verified research questions. Here is what we have built and where we are headed.
National Programs
We are a key partner in two Ministry of Education initiatives under the UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme. GuruSetu reimagines faculty development at national scale — free, self-paced, and structured across nine thematic pillars. CBPAI builds AI literacy across disciplines with a pedagogy-first approach and an original benchmarking instrument for Indian higher education. Combined, they have reached 3,500+ faculty across India, with 600+ certified.

A four-person core team running programs and products that most labs would need 20–30 people to manage. Our internship platform handled 8,400+ student registrations, 5,032 AI-conducted interviews, and 4,57,728 autonomous messages in a single cohort. Our online learning platform serves ~10,000 learners. Combined funding secured: ₹2.15 Cr.
