Gurusetu is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India (MoE / UGC-MMTTP), with three Indian Institutes of Technology serving as nodal centers: IIT Ropar, IIT Madras, and IIT Gandhinagar. Vicharanashala is a key partner in this project, which serves as a cornerstone for faculty development under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme.
The mission reimagines ARPIT — moving beyond its passive, one-size-fits-all model — by building a high-quality, open-access content repository across nine thematic pillars. Faculty development under GuruSetu is self-paced, personalized, and verified. Resources are freely available across institutions, breaking away from rigid, cohort-only training to meet educators where they are.
