Samagama is an end-to-end internship management platform built to solve a structural problem in Indian higher education: access to high-quality research internship experiences has historically been gatekept by networks, coordination capacity, and institutional privilege. Yaksha is the AI layer at its core — conducting interviews, handling student queries, issuing offer letters, and managing engagement at a scale no human team could sustain.
The Challenge
Student internships at premier institutions have long been constrained by two compounding problems. First, the coordination burden: scheduling, screening, communication, and documentation demand resources that small research labs simply do not have. Second, access inequality: students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 institutions rarely reach the door, not because they lack the ability, but because the system was never designed to include them at scale.
The question Samagama was built to answer: can every student get a high-quality internship experience at an IIT without overburdening the human resources of the institution?
The Platform
Samagama manages the full lifecycle of a structured internship program — from registration and screening to offer letters and ongoing engagement — with minimal human intervention.
Automated Screening and Interviews
Yaksha conducts AI-powered screening interviews at scale, replacing the need for human screeners at every stage. Interviews are structured, consistent, and evaluated against a purpose-built AI Interview Rubric developed by the lab.
Offer Letter Generation
Once screening is complete, offer letters are generated and issued automatically, eliminating administrative delays.
Student Engagement at Scale
Yaksha handles all ongoing student communication — queries, updates, clarifications — autonomously, ensuring no student is left without a response regardless of the volume of inbound messages.
Engagement Point System
Student participation is tracked through a structured engagement point system, making effort visible and creating accountability throughout the internship cycle.

Samagama + Yaksha ran its first large-scale cohort under the Summership 2026 program.
